We are a group armed with dog loving, compassionate,
loyal and committed volunteers who share Lore's can-do
attitude, the founder of Labrador Friends of Arizona.
Together we have saved and successfully placed many
dogs into loving homes.
Most of our dogs come into our rescue from Maricopa
County Animal Care & Control, surrounding area
shelters or strays who are brought in for a variety of reasons. Very rarely is this outcome through any fault of the dogs, and yet the shelter dogs endure the unfair stigma that they are damaged goods and are at risk of euthanasia.
Rescue knows no boundaries; we have also worked with shelters and rescue organizations in Korea, China and Mexico to save unwanted, starved, at risk for euthanasia or even from being raised for meat in some cultures.
We started with Labradors because they are such people-oriented dogs, always ready for adventure and endless games of fetch. Labs are reliable, willing and patient if properly trained and cared for. But our love for all dogs has expanded us to the rescue we are today!
We provide foster homes, veterinary care, spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinate all dogs that come into our rescue.
We are a 501c3 Rescue Organization registered with the State of Arizona
